Thank you for visiting Buck’s Wood Shop.
For those of you that know me, you can probably already tell that I’m much better at woodworking than I am at putting together a website!
I’ve been woodworking since I was about 14 or so, learning from my father as he built furniture for the family. I learned to love the smell of sawdust downstairs in the basement as he worked and gradually came to believe that I could build anything I wanted from the accumulated skills that he taught me.
As I got older, I began to notice the difference in quality and craftsmanship between store bought furniture and the furniture that my father built in his shop. Yes, my father held himself to much higher standards and the furniture and projects he built were clearly designed to outlast anything you could buy retail.
When my father passed away, he left all of his woodworking tools to me. Most of the projects that I build now are built using the same tools my father over used 50 years ago.
I continue my father’s legacy by building furniture for our extended family and get a great deal of satisfaction from teaching others.
Once again, thank you for visiting my website and please feel free to reach out to me! I would love to hear from you!
